Song of the year – hallelujah, sung by an angel.

What makes this special is the innocence of a wee girl singing her heart out. It moved me.

  1. Visit the website Songmeanings.com, where people put their heads together on the meanings of this song, and of course others. Google the site name, Cohen Hallelujah, which means “Praise ye Jah,” or let praise God. David it of course the author of the Psalms, and could heal Saul with lyric poetry. So can L. Cohen, who is apparently of the family of priests. The wife of Uriah is to David as the cutting of Solomon’s hair. The musicians say that in the music is an example of the chord, which is indeed true.
